The Aston at Papakea Resort is an ocean front (short walk to the beach) property with beautiful, expansive tropical grounds. The property does not have a swimming beach. Guests can walk next door to the Kaanapali Shores or drive to nearby beaches. The property has 2 pools, 2 jacuzzi's and 3 lighted tennis courts (free, but fee for racquet rental) and WiFi internet access.  

The Papakea is a large resort with an intimate feeling. The units are nice and comfortably furnished. All of the condominiums have a full kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, air conditioning (living room only), coffee-maker, cable TV, DVD player, hair dryer and an iron/ironing board. Every unit also has a washer and dryer. Papakea has studio units that will sleep 2 guests. The 1 bedroom units will sleep 4, the 2 bedroom units will sleep 6 and the 3 bedroom units will sleep 8 guests. Guests can choose to have a garden view, ocean view or an ocean front unit.  

Papakea is in a great location. Guests can walk to nearby shops and restaurants. It is also just a short drive into Lahaina or Kapalua. All units are non-smoking. The property is doing an exterior renovation project beginning on April 9, 2012 with a scheduled completion date of December 21, 2012. The project will include installing new lanai railings and re-painting building exteriors. The project will focus on only four of the resort's eleven buildings. There will be no disruption to guests staying in Buildings A-F. The project should not impede guests from enjoying the resort and its' expansive grounds & lovely gardens and swimming pools. Work will be done Monday-Friday from 8:30AM-5:00PM. Work on Saturdays is possible, but will be avoided, unless necessary. No guests will be placed in the building being worked on. The General Manager and staff will do everything possible to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
